What would you do to get a phone that has built in projection? What would you do to get a phone with a full size keyboard that projects itself from the phone to your desk? Would it be cool if you could control your phone remotely using a Bluetooth dongle that clips out of the back of your phone?
Mozilla has a handset that does all that, and a video to show how the concept works. The phone is part of the Mozilla Labs Concept Series and is purely a render of what they envisage for an open platform phones based on Android could be.
The device has a screen that fills the entire front of the device with projectors coming from both sides- one projecting its screen into a wall and the opposite projecting a virtual keyboard onto your desk- all while the phone is mounted in a very cool looking piece of docking hardware.
Check out the video below:
Seabird was created by Billy May, a Mozilla Labs community member who has created an initial version a few years ago and now updated his vision from more feedback and advances in technology.
Wouldn’t this be a very cool piece of hardware to get your hands on?
